EXCELLENT Based on 28 reviews Posted on Brenda ZimmerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot say enough great things about Rick and the 10-day loose leash training program he provided for our 8-month-old German Shepherd, Remi. From start to finish, Rick was professional, incredibly responsive, and clearly a true subject matter expert. What truly set this experience apart was Rick’s attention to detail and the time he dedicated to training my daughter and me after Remi completed her program. That hands-on coaching was a total game-changer and gave us the confidence and tools to continue the work at home. Just one day after the program, Remi is still following commands, practicing her manners, and walking beautifully on leash. The results speak for themselves. Thank you, Rick, for your exceptional service and genuine care. We highly recommend his services to anyone seeking genuine, lasting results for their fur babies!Posted on bryan calhounTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you are on the fence about off leash K9, just do it. We couldn’t be happier with the results of our 3 year old golden retriever. Monica was very professional and an expert in her craft, she is truly the best. Lots of updates, photos and videos! We never once worried about the care our dog was receiving. We will only use off leash K9 for all of our future dogs.Posted on Franklyn MedinaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I recently brought our 8-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback to Off Leash K9 Training in Reno for a two-week board-and-train program, and we could not be happier with the results. The staff were friendly, informative, and very responsive over the phone. They followed up consistently and made sure we knew exactly what to expect going in, so there were no surprises. Our trainer, Monica, was absolutely top-notch. She has over twenty years of experience, and it definitely shows. She is very personable and explains the training process in a way that is easy to understand. While our dog was away, Monica sent us daily messages detailing what they worked on each day, along with videos so we could track his progress. She responded promptly to every question we had throughout the entire process. At the end of the program, Monica took the time to walk me through everything she had taught our dog and had me personally work through all of the new commands to make sure I felt confident continuing the training at home. The difference is night and day. We don’t have enough good things to say about Off Leash K9 and their program, and would highly recommend anyone considering training to give them a call.Posted on I Love America MagaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the pleasure of getting Monica to train our Doodle for 10 days and she was incredible! The patience she taught him all while building his confidence is amazing. She’ll teach you how to keep the training going at home too which is nice. Looking forward to these next few days w our dog!Posted on Marcus BertholfTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brought my 5 month old great dane here for the board and train program. She was having problems nipping, jumping, listening, and not great with other dogs. Monica worked hard with her and did an amazing job. Updates daily and stormy has a new found confidence and demeanor. Thank youPosted on Alicia TodiscoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rick is worth every penny!!!! We have a four year old rescue that is extremely skittish — he’s afraid of everything and everyone, and consequently he was very reactive. On walks he’d frequently lunge and bark, and when we had guests in the home the only way to keep him somewhat calm was to constantly hold him. We could never relax around other people out of fear our dog might bite. 2 years ago we sent our dog to another trainer for a 2 week program. At the end of the 2 weeks the other trainer told us he couldn’t work with our dog because our dog was too afraid. He literally wasn’t able to help him at all. Because of this we were hesitant to try again but I’m so glad we did! I felt immediately at ease with Rick. He exudes confidence in his profession, and instantly earned my trust that my dog would be in good hands. He told me he wouldn’t give up on my dog. Rick sent video updates every single day, along with a text explaining what they worked on and the progress they made. Rick is extremely knowledgeable, and it’s clear he really cares about dogs. Rick is not only a great teacher to dogs but to humans as well! When we picked our dog up he spent three full hours explaining our dog’s behavior to us, and how we can help him moving forward. He took his time, was extremely thorough, and never rushed our many questions. He made all the information easy to digest. I am honestly shocked at how much better our dog is doing. Walks are now a breeze — I am in total control of my dog and he is completely relaxed … the difference is night and day. We had our first house guest over and I told my dog to lay down in a certain place like Rick taught me, and my dog stayed there the ENTIRE time without even one bark or whine. If you have a reactive dog and you’re contemplating hiring a trainer, don’t think about it anymore and just hire Rick. I wish we had found him sooner. I know it’s not cheap, but it honestly is the BEST investment I have made in years. Not having to worry about my dog hurting anyone, and knowing my dog is happier too is priceless. Rick will not let you down.Posted on Shannon NicholsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with Off Leash canine training was absolutely amazing. I have a two year-old German Shepherd, who’s got a lot of fear-based behaviour. While he’s never hurt anyone he has been very reactive when feeling threatened and can be very frightening because of his size and breed. After two weeks with Rick, my dog is feeling safe and is responding to commands that help him to trust me and his environment. I can’t recommend the experience enough!Posted on Susie JohnsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ivy, our Doodle, has really improved since her training with Rick! We did the 10 day board and train to learn how to decrease her excitement level for greeting others, heeling better and to travel better in the car. It's almost 2 weeks since we picked her up and we are so pleased with her progress! We are still working the program for a couple of areas but with Rick's continuing support and instruction, we know we all can do this now! Thanks Rick for all your help and for taking good care of our girl while she was training!Posted on matt bTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rick, the Trainer from off leash was absolutely fantastic! He met me at a park prior to taking in my French bulldog and established a trust and gave me a good feeling that he would take care of my dog under his care. Throughout the process, his communication was exceptional. He would send videos every night and explain what he was doing as he was training her. He spent a lot of time with me through the process, easing my concerns and worries about my dog being away that long. He answered every question I had ever asked with great explanation. The outcome is he totally changed my dogs behaviors. I didn’t think it was possible for her to behave the way that she does around other dogs. His results are phenomenal. It’s absolutely worth the investment. I recommend anybody that needs any type of obedience training to invest in our leashes programs. Even after I picked her up, he still answers questions and provides help as I am still in the process of instilling the the behaviors myself as the leader. The best experience I could ask for in an onboard training program!Posted on Mariam LudwigTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Training was our last hope, and it was worth it 100%. Rick did amazing job. We couldn’t say thank you enough for all the changes that happened with our dog. Harley is absolutely perfect now: so calm, listening and so easy. This is absolute magic how dog behaviour can change in 14 days. We are so grateful for doing such tremendous job, thank you one more time 🙏🏽
