EXCELLENT Based on 24 reviews Posted on Marcus BertholfTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brought my 5 month old great dane here for the board and train program. She was having problems nipping, jumping, listening, and not great with other dogs. Monica worked hard with her and did an amazing job. Updates daily and stormy has a new found confidence and demeanor. Thank youPosted on Alicia TodiscoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rick is worth every penny!!!! We have a four year old rescue that is extremely skittish — he’s afraid of everything and everyone, and consequently he was very reactive. On walks he’d frequently lunge and bark, and when we had guests in the home the only way to keep him somewhat calm was to constantly hold him. We could never relax around other people out of fear our dog might bite. 2 years ago we sent our dog to another trainer for a 2 week program. At the end of the 2 weeks the other trainer told us he couldn’t work with our dog because our dog was too afraid. He literally wasn’t able to help him at all. Because of this we were hesitant to try again but I’m so glad we did! I felt immediately at ease with Rick. He exudes confidence in his profession, and instantly earned my trust that my dog would be in good hands. He told me he wouldn’t give up on my dog. Rick sent video updates every single day, along with a text explaining what they worked on and the progress they made. Rick is extremely knowledgeable, and it’s clear he really cares about dogs. Rick is not only a great teacher to dogs but to humans as well! When we picked our dog up he spent three full hours explaining our dog’s behavior to us, and how we can help him moving forward. He took his time, was extremely thorough, and never rushed our many questions. He made all the information easy to digest. I am honestly shocked at how much better our dog is doing. Walks are now a breeze — I am in total control of my dog and he is completely relaxed … the difference is night and day. We had our first house guest over and I told my dog to lay down in a certain place like Rick taught me, and my dog stayed there the ENTIRE time without even one bark or whine. If you have a reactive dog and you’re contemplating hiring a trainer, don’t think about it anymore and just hire Rick. I wish we had found him sooner. I know it’s not cheap, but it honestly is the BEST investment I have made in years. Not having to worry about my dog hurting anyone, and knowing my dog is happier too is priceless. Rick will not let you down.Posted on Shannon NicholsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with Off Leash canine training was absolutely amazing. I have a two year-old German Shepherd, who’s got a lot of fear-based behaviour. While he’s never hurt anyone he has been very reactive when feeling threatened and can be very frightening because of his size and breed. After two weeks with Rick, my dog is feeling safe and is responding to commands that help him to trust me and his environment. I can’t recommend the experience enough!Posted on Susie JohnsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ivy, our Doodle, has really improved since her training with Rick! We did the 10 day board and train to learn how to decrease her excitement level for greeting others, heeling better and to travel better in the car. It's almost 2 weeks since we picked her up and we are so pleased with her progress! We are still working the program for a couple of areas but with Rick's continuing support and instruction, we know we all can do this now! Thanks Rick for all your help and for taking good care of our girl while she was training!Posted on matt bTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rick, the Trainer from off leash was absolutely fantastic! He met me at a park prior to taking in my French bulldog and established a trust and gave me a good feeling that he would take care of my dog under his care. Throughout the process, his communication was exceptional. He would send videos every night and explain what he was doing as he was training her. He spent a lot of time with me through the process, easing my concerns and worries about my dog being away that long. He answered every question I had ever asked with great explanation. The outcome is he totally changed my dogs behaviors. I didn’t think it was possible for her to behave the way that she does around other dogs. His results are phenomenal. It’s absolutely worth the investment. I recommend anybody that needs any type of obedience training to invest in our leashes programs. Even after I picked her up, he still answers questions and provides help as I am still in the process of instilling the the behaviors myself as the leader. The best experience I could ask for in an onboard training program!Posted on Mariam LudwigTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Training was our last hope, and it was worth it 100%. Rick did amazing job. We couldn’t say thank you enough for all the changes that happened with our dog. Harley is absolutely perfect now: so calm, listening and so easy. This is absolute magic how dog behaviour can change in 14 days. We are so grateful for doing such tremendous job, thank you one more time 🙏🏽Posted on Jessica MontenegroTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely Impressed! I cannot say enough great things about Rick at Off Leash K9 Training Reno! From start to finish, his customer service, communication, and thoroughness were beyond exceptional. He made sure I understood every step of the process and set both me and my puppy up for success. I am extremely pleased with my puppy's behavior-thanks to Rick, I am getting the best version of her. He provided the structure and guidance she needed to build her confidence while responding beautifully to all commands. Having worked with a dog trainer in the past, I can confidently say that Rick surpassed all my expectations. As an added bonus, he even created a transformation video so I could see her progress, which was an incredible touch! If you're looking for a top-tier trainer who genuinely cares and delivers results, I highly recommend Rick. You won't be disappointed!Posted on Sharise YorkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 10/10 definitely recommend their training! Make sure you ask for “Kayleigh” she was simply amazing. Very patient and informative. Our puppy loved her!! She explains everything from the detail mindset of your particular breed & the psychological reasoning of to use positive reinforcement with your pup.Posted on Art DaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great training and great people.Posted on Ezra Martinez LorenzoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have a 5 month old Pit Bull Cattle Dog, which I took her with Rick on his 14 days onboard training program, and I have to say I don’t regret it at all. The change on her behaviors and manners are tremendously positive, 100% the best option here in Reno. He sent me videos and written updates of the days they were worked on, I am glad I found him and the way he helped me to keep conducting her training at home.
